We decided to take a look back at our impact in 2018 on our clients, their guests and the industry as a whole. We were impressed by just how much wine we are helping our customers save! In the past 10 years alone we’ve assisted our customers in preserving over 10 Million bottles of wine! On average, we help our customers retain 15-25% of revenue yearly with the WineStation, eliminating loss due to over pours, theft and spoiled product.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

We are proud to be the #1 worldwide provider of the most effective intelligent wine preservation and dispensing technology found in the marketplace today! Check out our “By the Numbers” to learn more and explore some upcoming wine trends for 2019.

[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”13587″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Trends for 2019 are gearing towards millennial tastes. There is an overall demand for all things plant-based and wines will be no different. Eco-conscious and ethically minded consumers (many millennials) are flocking to vegan, organic and biodynamic offerings versus traditionally produced wines. Biodynamic wines are produced with holistic agricultural methods and minimal intervention post-harvest. Organic wines typically do not use herbicides, pesticides or other chemicals found in traditional farming.

In 2019, wines with alternative aging methods will rise in popularity. Younger, juicier wines ready for drinking upon purchase will see a massive surge in demand. While top varietals served in the US last year were Chardonnay and Cabernet, in 2019 many wine drinkers will look for new varietals to explore from lesser-known regions and indigenous varietals. In particular, younger wine drinkers are increasingly turning to exotic imports from Italy, France and New Zealand. Providing an unusual varietal as a wine by the glass is an excellent way to satisfy customer curiosity and stay on trend.

US wines that are reaching prime maturity and begging to be opened in 2019 range from 2006-2012. If you’re ready to uncork those beautiful ‘09 Pinot Noirs, it’s the perfect time to put them on your by-the-glass menu and serve them up through the WineStation. For delicate and higher-end wines, preservation solutions like the WineStation are critical and enable you to preserve that “just opened” taste days after you’ve uncorked the bottle.

We look forward to seeing how these trends evolve and develop as consumers’ tastes shift. Have a happy and prosperous 2019 from all of us at Napa Technology![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
